All tours run rain or shine. Please wear appropriate clothing and bring an umbrella if needed.

You can expect a fun, informative 4+ hour walking tour around downtown Helen. We will stop at 5 of Helen’s best restaurants, including popular favorites and hidden gems, tasting yummy Germain cuisine. You will learn about the origins of this quaint Alpine Village, and be able to ask questions about the area such as things to do, points of interest, etc. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. We will be inside during most tastings (some will be on decks). Tours will be held rain or shine.

REMINDERS:

  1. We love dogs and Helen is a dog friendly town. However, due to health regulations, restaurants cannot allow dogs inside so we cannot allow dogs on the tour.
  2. We also love kids. However, many of our guests look to the tour as an adult get away so we have a minimum age of 11 for the tour. One exception, kids are allowed if you book the whole tour.
  3. Everyone on the tour has to have a paid ticket.

How much walking will be required?

We will be walking around one mile total with slight inclines and stairs included. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Can I drink/purchase alcohol on the tour?

Absolutely! Alcohol purchases can be made at any of the restaurants we visit. However, please be mindful that your tour guide has to keep everyone on a schedule to get to all of the restaurants. Each stop will be approximately 25 minutes.

Is there parking available?

Helen has several pay parking lots available. Email can be sent upon request with locations of these lots. If you are staying in a downtown hotel, you most likely can just walk from your hotel.

Are children allowed?

Yes. Although this tour is geared towards adults, well behaved children aged eleven and above are allowed with a paid ticket. Unfortunately at this time, children under the age of eleven are not allowed.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
